Fluxtype Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 2026
1. Overview
Fluxtype ("the Extension") is a typing performance tool designed to operate entirely within the user's browser. Our core philosophy is "Privacy by Design." This document outlines how we handle data.
2. Data Handling & Storage
Local Processing: All typing metrics (WPM, accuracy, speed) are processed locally on your device.
Volatile Memory (RAM): To provide the "TAM RAPOR" (.txt audit) feature, the extension temporarily monitors keystrokes in your device's volatile memory. This data is never written to permanent storage and is wiped instantly when the session ends or the extension is closed.
Persistent Storage: User preferences and aggregate statistics are stored using
chrome.storage.local. This data stays on your machine and is not synced to any cloud service.
3. No Data Collection
No Transmission: Fluxtype does not have a backend server. It does not use
fetch()orXMLHttpRequestto send your data anywhere. No PII: We do not collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as names, email addresses, or Google Account details.
No Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) or tracking cookies.
4. Permissions
The extension requests only the minimum permissions necessary to function:
storage: To save your settings and local records.alarms: To manage session persistence within the Service Worker.
5. Contact
If you have questions about this policy, you can reach out via the developer contact link on the Chrome Web Store.
